About Dr. Rob

Welcome to RobDAquila.com, the website of Dr. Rob D’Aquila, DC, DIBAK, a NYC-based Chiropractor and Board-Certified Teaching Diplomate in Applied Kinesiology.

Purpose and goals of my practice

I provide a space where patients can learn about themselves by understanding the stressors that are impeding their health. I also deliver effective hands-on treatment and lifestyle recommendations to recover and support my patient’s health.

Educating my patients on exactly how their primary stressors are impeding their wellness is a priority. Patient education is important for helping you to understand and subsequently overcome the cause of your physical and mental setbacks, quickly and permanently.

Background

I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic where I pursued becoming a chiropractor after realizing it would allow me to be able to help patients with a wide array of ailments on all levels of health: structural, nutritional, and emotional. I am a Diplomate in Applied Kinesiology (AK), in addition to being certified to teach other doctors the system of AK. Applied Kinesiology is a comprehensive system of diagnosing and treating people as individuals on all levels of health. This is of utmost importance because many people have the same ailments with different causes, therefore I treat people with ailments, not the ailments that people have. Additionally, when multiple stressors are identified (via lab tests or physical examination), my unique approach allows me to determine which areas are the priority to address.

Using a “whole person approach” to evaluation and treatment allows me to treat people with a wide variety of conditions. I also teach patients to help themselves by determining the optimal foods they should and should not eat, which dietary supplements can help them most, what type of exercise regimen is most beneficial, and which lifestyle changes will help to support their body most effectively. My approach allows patients to regain balance and recover their health. I have a family practice and have successfully treated people ranging in age from 4 weeks to 96 years old. I have had success helping patients who have a wide variety of neuromusculoskeletal and nutritional conditions achieve greater health and wellness.

In addition to chiropractic and Applied Kinesiology, I’m also trained in Functional Nutrition, Functional Neurology, Neuro Emotional Technique®, cranial/sacral adjusting, acupressure, lymphatic drainage, cold laser therapy, percussion therapy, trigger point therapy, herbal remedies, homeopathy, flower essence therapy, and much more. I use standard diagnostic tests including blood, urine, saliva, orthopedic, neurological and radiological testing when necessary. The combination of these tools allows me to use the best of alternative and mainstream medicine in a truly holistic approach.
